About Us

The Maine Music Society is an L/A Metropolitan area non-profit music organization dedicated to presenting quality musical performances at the Gendron Franco Center in Lewiston and other area venues.

Comprised of the 75-voice auditioned Chorale, the a cappella Chamber Singers, and the MMS Orchestra, this organization draws talented musicians from many communities near and far who come together to share their love of music and enhance the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Central Maine.

MMS is committed to good music, cooperative educational opportunities for young singers, imaginative programming and musical excellence making it a source of pride for local residents. The repertoire ranges from major classical works to pieces of contemporary composers and also includes modern popular tunes.

The 2016-2017 season includes Battle of the Blends on November 5, A Heritage Christmas with emphasis on music from the United States on December 10 & 11, the Bach B Minor Mass on March 25 & 26, 2017, and Songs of Carole King and James Taylor on May 20 & 21, 2017.
